TRAININGS & WORKSHOPS
THE HUMAN ROOT offers training sessions that create workplace learning, planning, and action through a lens of Systemic Equity Practices and Transformative Values. The work is guided by social and emotional learning and acknowledging the experience of systemic trauma and harm from st. We provide strategically planned equity-informed curriculum framed by history, progressive communication practices, an analysis of power, growth mindset learning, and liberatory resistance while positioning accountability.

In alignment with THE HUMAN ROOT’s mission, the circles prioritize community-driven solutions and encourage active participation, allowing individuals to co-create transformative outcomes. Whether addressing biases, discrimination, or personal healing, restorative circles serve as a tool for empowering participants to find common ground, nurture their well-being, and contribute to a culture of liberation and wholeness.

AFFINITY GROUPS
THE HUMAN ROOT’s Affinity Groups provide a positive, affirming environment, often those who feel marginalized, to come together and engage in open and honest dialogues. Groups are designed to create safe, supportive spaces for collective healing and growth. These groups bring together individuals to engage in open dialogue, reflect on personal and shared experiences, and address conflicts or challenges through a lens of empathy, equity, and mutual respect.
Trauma-Informed Professional Development:
Training participants recognize and address trauma in the workplace, schools, and communities, while integrating practices that promote healing and resilience.
Restorative Justice and Conflict Resolution:
These sessions provide strategies for addressing conflicts in ways that promote healing and accountability, building trust, and repairing harm within communities and organizations.
DEI and Bias Training
These workshops help individuals and teams understand the impact of unconscious biases, -isms (racism, sexism, ageism, etc.), and institutional discrimination, empowering them to create inclusive, equitable cultures.
Emotional Intelligence and Communication Skills:
Workshops focus on developing the emotional intelligence necessary for leaders and team members to effectively navigate diverse work environments, foster empathy, and improve communication.
Holistic Wellness and Healing:
Workshops also integrate practices of self-care, mindfulness, and spirituality, ensuring that participants’ well-being is nurtured while they engage in transformative work.
